Originating from Scandinavia, Puukkos are a distinct style of knife that has remained largely unchanged over the years. To create the Tanimboca Puukko, TOPS collaborated with Goran Mihajlovic, a knife enthusiast from Serbia who has called Colombia home for the past two decades. Goran, the owner of a nature reserve in the Amazon jungle called Tanimboca, has been a lifelong knife user and has recently begun crafting blades of his own at his forge.

The TOPS version of the Tanimboca Puukko blends traditional Puukko elements with TOPS' distinctive style. The knife features a classic Puukko blade with a slight clip point, and the spine is ground to 90 degrees for scraping tasks. The handles are made of well-rounded Tan Canvas Micarta with red liners, honoring the traditional Puukko aesthetic. The knife sits securely in a slim, durable Brown Leather sheath, which can be worn as a neck knife with the addition of a breakaway chain or paracord.

The Tanimboca Puukko is a fixed-blade, drop-point survival knife made of 1095 RC 56-58 steel.
