Brakimo Tungsten Coated Fixed Knives for Outdoors

The Brakimo, designed by Joe Flowers, was intended to serve as a backup to a machete or as the main camp knife for Bushcraft Global, a survival school that takes people of all skill levels into the Amazonian jungle to teach them survival skills. The knife's design was intended to be the flagship knife of the company. The Brakimo features a fairly wide blade profile combined with TOPS' modified Scandi grind, providing great cutting and splitting power. The tip narrows dramatically, making it useful for drilling holes for bow-drill fires, blow gun mouthpieces, traps, and other tasks. The simple design of the Brakimo is perfect for a variety of uses.

Made with 1095 high carbon steel, the Brakimo is easy to maintain the edge while out in the field. Through testing on the 2015 Bushcraft Global trip, it was found that by keeping the knife dry whenever possible, rust was not an issue. The word "Brakimo" comes from the Matis language, a tribe found in Brazil that was uncontacted by the modern world until 1975-1976. The Matis tribe has a unique way of life that would challenge the survival skills of any survival expert.
